Eve Decker co-founded the feminist folk trio, Rebecca Riots (www.rebeccariots.com), which enjoyed local and national acclaim for a decade, and was dubbed the Best Bay Area Band with a Conscience by the San Francisco Bay Guardian. Many of Eves best-loved Rebecca Riots songs reflected her spiritual concerns, and her deepening involvement with Vipassana Buddhism. On a three-month-long silent meditation retreat in 2003, Eve conceived the idea of a song cycle about the Buddhist paramis, or ten perfections of the heart, and in 2006 she released her solo CD, Commentary on Perfections of the Heart (www.evedecker.com) with one song dedicated to each of the paramis.
