PAUL HALLER has been engaged in Buddhist practice for thirty years, initially as a Theravada monk in Thailand, and then was ordained as a priest at the San Francisco Zen Center in 1980, where he has recently become the new abbot. He has been leading the outreach program at the Zen Center and has extensive experience with integrating Buddhist practice with hospice, jail and peace work.
