IWA board members and health care providers Dr. Nancy Smee and Dr. Jeff Hardin offer teachings on compassionate care in sickness and health. They share stories of how we cope with illness, provide practices on how to apply mindfulness and compassion in the face of chronic pain and suffering, and discuss giving to and receiving care from others with kind awareness, balance and gratitude. Modeled on the IMC Dharma Practice Days this experiential workshop is informative and interesting for both caregivers and those who are cared for.
