The Dhammapada: Gems of Wisdom (2 of 3)
By: Kim Allen
These chapters have a greater focus on ideas that could arouse in people the inspiration or urgency to practice. We might think of phrases like “warnings of trouble” or “seeing what we try to avoid” or “learning to see differently from conventional ideas of happiness.” They both rouse our energy to “wake up” and inspire us toward the goal of practice.
